Joe Kronick in the 1950's

In 1956, Joseph Kronick welcomed our first campers to summer camp at White Pine. The camp, a former fishing lodge, started it's first summer with 165 campers and quickly grew to be known as one of Ontario and Canada's finest summer camps. Joe's experience in children's camping and his background in social work were instrumental in creating the strong sense of community that Camp White Pine is known for.

Over more than 55 years, campers, staff and their children and grand-children have returned to camp to be part of Joe's vision of "Small Group Living." This rich tradition is why so many people hold Camp White Pine in their hearts as their, "Home Away from Home."
