Creative Arts

The Creative Arts program at White Pine is highly diverse and offers campers the opportunity to learn a wide range of creative activities. Each activity is run by skilled artists that take pride in their medium and are able to teach and inspire campers to express themselves in a variety of ways. Our high quality facilities and materials allow campers to make incredible individual and group projects such as furniture, jewelry, chess boards, glass mosaics, photo calendars and sculptures. The pride campers take in their work is easy to see when the buses are loaded with these special projects to take home at the end of the summer.

ARTS & CRAFTS

Our Arts and Crafts building is set back in the woods, surrounded by trees, with a fire place and wrap around porch. This serene setting allows for the campers creativity to flow. Campers make incredible projects such as puppets, candles, print making, pillows, and stuffed animals. Campers can also join clubs, such as the drawing or painting club. Clubs allow for more in-depth instruction to further develop skills in the area.

POTTERY

Our spectacular new pottery barn, located in the center of camp, is a place where campers will learn amazing techniques such as hand building, wheel throwing, and raku. This exciting art form is taught by highly talented staff. The quality of materials allows campers to see amazing finishes on their pieces of work. Sushi sets, coil pots, wind chimes, masks and mugs are just some of the incredible projects campers create each summer. “Midnight pottery” is one of the special programs in this area where cabins can go to the barn after dark and create their projects by candle light!
