Information for Non-Canadian Campers:

Camp White Pine Staff Meet All Flights. – The children will be met and taken care of as soon as they come into the Baggage Claim Area at Pearson (Toronto) International Airport. Our staff will be wearing White Pine Staff T-shirts so the campers will identify them easily.

CAMPERS FROM OUTSIDE CANADA MUST CARRY OFFICIAL PHOTO IDENTIFICATION.

For campers coming from the United States, a passport is best; however, some airlines will accept an original birth certificate accompanied by a piece of photo ID, such as a student card. Check with your airline in advance.

Each camper should have a short letter with her/him, indicating that she/he will be staying at Camp White Pine (give dates) and that the parents authorize the child(ren) to enter Canada to attend the camp. Include in the letter flight details, and indicate who will meet the camper(s) at the airport on the return flight and the person's phone number. A parent must sign the letter. All documents are stored in the camp safe and returned to the camper at the airport on departure. If you have any questions, please call the camp office.

CAMPERS FROM OUTSIDE THE U.S.A. and CANADA

  • PASSPORT – Campers coming from anywhere other than the U.S. require a passport.
  • MEDICAL INSURANCE - The cost of medical insurance is included in your camp fee.

  • BEDDING, LINENS and TOWELS - The cost of bedding rental is included in your camp fee, so that you do not have to send bedding all the way to Canada. Towels will also be supplied.

  • SLEEPING BAGS - These are used only on overnight and canoe trips. If there are two children in a family, you might manage with one sleeping bag, and one waterproof ground sheet.

  • LUGGAGE - If you cannot obtain duffel bags, you may use suitcases (but no trunks). However, duffel bags are preferable.

  • FAMILIES FROM MEXICO - If your child is flying back to Mexico at the end of the session, there is no problem. FOR CHILDREN TRAVELLING TO THE UNITED STATES AFTER CAMP - YOU MUST PROVIDE THE CAMP OFFICE WITH THE ADDRESS TO WHICH THEY ARE GOING. Each child also should have this information. Give the name of the people in the United States to whom the camper is returning, their street address, apartment number, city, state, and TELEPHONE NUMBER.

  • PERMISSION LETTER - Provide your child with a letter giving permission for the camper to travel unaccompanied. Parents must sign this letter.
