A suggested list of items to pack for camp

Below is a list of suggested items for your reference. Packing everything on this list is not necessarily required, simply use it as a guide to help you in choosing what to pack for camp. Laundry is done every week at camp. So if your child is not hard on clothing, feel free to reduce the numbers. “Emergency” laundry is done daily, should it be required.

CLOTHING

o 10 T-shirts
o 4 long sleeved T-shirts
o 3 warmer long sleeved sweat shirt
o 6 pairs of shorts
o 4 pairs long pants (jeans or sweats)
o 12 pairs of socks
o 12 pairs underwear
o 4 swimsuits
o 3-4 pairs pajamas (light & heavy)
o 2 sun hats or baseball caps
o 2 pairs of sneakers or athletic shoes
o 1 pair rain boots or hiking boots
o 1 lightweight jacket
o 1 warm jacket (or light ski jacket)
o 1 rain coat
o Water shoes or river sandals for canoe trips
o 2 white T-shirts

BEDDING

o 4 sheets (2 flat, 2 fitted) for a single bed
o 3 warm blankets, and/or comforter
o 1 pillow
o 2 pillowcases
o 1 sleeping bag (for canoe trips and sleep outs)

BEDDING RENTAL

Bedding is available from camp. We must be notified by May 30th, if you wish to rent bedding.

TOILETRY ARTICLES*

o 4 large towels (for showers and swimming)
o 2 small hand & face towels
o 2 washcloths
o Toothbrush
o Toothpaste
o Liquid soap, or bar soap in container
o 1 bottle shampoo
o Hairbrush (or comb)
o Shower caddy and/or toiletry case
o Suntan lotion
o Box of tissues
o Deodorant

* Various supplies such as shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, insect repellant, etc., will be available at the Tuckshop. Campers should bring enough toiletries for the summer and obtain replacements at the Tuckshop if their supply runs out.

OTHER ITEMS

o Flashlight
o Insect Repellent
o Letter writing materials (postcards and postage for letters are provided by the camp)
o Sunglasses
o Camera and film/batteries (inexpensive or disposable cameras suggested)
o Water bottle
o Small knapsack (for day-trips)
o Baseball Glove
o Tennis Racquet
o Shoe Bag (to hold small items)
o Books, games or other non-electronic amusements
o In-Line skates for hockey (helmets, pads and sticks are provided)
o Riding boots or other shoes/boots with a heel for horseback riding
o Wetsuit for avid skiers, sailors or windsurfers
o 30 Litre Dry-Bag - a must for trips

DUFFELS
Each Camper is allowed to bring 2 large duffel bags maximum to camp. These duffels should be about 16” x 36” max. in size. NO TRUNKS OR SUITCASES ARE ALLOWED AT CAMP. Campers traveling by airplane should refer to their airline about any baggage restrictions on the plane.
